Summary
As Microsoft (MS) has recently reinforced its IP portfolio in the mobile sector(communications, networks, etc.) we decided to analyze the potential influence of the mobile IP owned by MS, and drew the following implications. The IP license strategy changes the mobile ecosystem. MS is already a mobile power that is ready in terms of IP competitiveness. MS shakes the mobile market by wielding their IP licenses and alliance with Nokia. The age of three mobile powers will come within 10 years with MS at the center.
