‘Xpower’ and ‘Xmax’, which were introduced by LG as ‘X-men phones’, will be released as phones exclusively for SK Telecom and KT.
According to National Radio Research Agency, ‘LG-F750K’ and ‘LG-F770S’ recently passed certifications for radio signals. ‘LG-F750’ and ‘LG-F770’, which are Xpower and Xmax respectively, are part of ‘X-men’ series that was introduced by LG Electronics’ Germany corporate in May.
‘Xmax’ and ‘Xpower’ will be released as phones exclusively for SKT and KT respectively because if they are shared by all 3 mobile telecommunication businesses, all 3 versions need to receive certifications for radio signals. Because products that pass certifications for radio signals are released within a month, it is predicted that these phones will be released by end of this week at the earliest and by end of this month at the latest.
‘Xpower’, which is based on ‘Professor X’ out of X-men characters, is expected to have a battery with capacity of 4100mAh and an ability for rapid charging. ‘Xmax’,which is based on ‘Beast‘ out of X-men characters, is a product that has its large screen stand out. It is predicted that Samsung Electronics’ medium and low-priced phone called Galaxy Wide will be a competition for ‘Xmax’.

Although they were released with such names in Europe, there is a high chance that these names might change when they are released in South Korea considering a fact that a product that was introduced as ‘Xstyle’ was released as ‘Xskin’ in South Korea on the 22nd of last month.
X series is one of LG Electronics’ inexpensive product line and emphasizes ‘personality’ rather than ‘practicality’. ‘X’ indicates ‘X’ from ‘eXceptional’ and ‘eXtra’. Because specifications for products are different unlike other series, products have their own names instead of numbers. Currently ‘Xscreen’ that has a second screen, ‘Xskin’ that emphasizes thinness and light weight, and ‘Xcam’ that has G5 Dual-Camera for the first time out of medium and low-priced phones are released.
