NINE Introduces Package That Can Use Smartphone As Microscopes And Endoscopes

Package product that can use Smartphone as a microscope and a commercial endoscope as well is introduced.

NINE (CEO Chun Sun Ho) made an announcement on the 25th that it has released ‘NINEX-Full Package’, which is a package comprised of past 7 ‘NINEX’ series.
NINE, which has specialized technologies in optical lenses, has been manufacturing optical lenses and equipment that can use Smartphone as a microscope and selling them in South Korea and foreign countries with a brand name of ‘NINEX’.

‘NINEX-Full Package’ that has been put out puts 7 past series such as NINEX-400, NINEX-80, NINEX-40, NINEX-Close Up, NINEX-Image Coupler, NINEX-Conescope, and Reticle into one. NINE has introduced products that are worth about $880.17 (1 million KRW) along with cases that have these 7 series and already supplied them to Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation and Korea Institute of Energy Research.

Because NINEX products have optical lenses, they can be used as microscopes if they are connected to Smartphones. ‘NINEX-400’, which has the lowest magnification, can see an object at a 100 to 400 magnifications through a Smartphone as a metal microscope, bio microscope and polarizing microscope.
It can also be used in biology field such as looking at red blood cells and examining illnesses with a Smartphone. With a width of 7 cm, length of 9 cm, and height of 12 cm, its weight is only a tenth of a current 400X microscope and it is also very inexpensive.

‘NINEX-80’, which has 20 to 80 magnifications, can examine skin such as scalp and others while ‘NINEX-40’ allows one to look at a house dust mite or helps with forgery testing with its 10 to 40 magnifications. ‘NINEX-Close Up’ is able to observe and close up on nature such as plants, bugs and others, and iris examination. ‘NINEX-Image Coupler’ is for a commercial use and allows one to inspect automobile parts such as pipes and others. ‘NINEX-Conescope’ is a product that allows one to see the inside of a living thing’s ear such as house pets and others. ‘Reticle’, which is a graduated ruler for professionals, can measure length in units up to micrometer with a Smartphone.

Because these ‘NINEX’ products are used by being connected to a Smartphone, Smartphone’s video recording, pictures, save, and send functions can be used as they are. Smartphones that can be connected to these products are Apple products such as iPhone 5 and above models, Samsung products such as Note 1 and Note 2, and LG’s G2.
“Although we are mainly focusing on selling these products in foreign countries, we are currently attempting to mass produce them in South Korea as well. We’ve received many positive responses from domestic and foreign exhibitions such as ‘Advanced Tech Korea 2015’ that was held at Kintex in August and ‘International Home Supplies Exhibition’ that was taken place in Turkey recently.” said CEO Chun Sun Ho.
