South Korea’s Small and Medium Companies to Go after Global Niche Markets with Their Technical Skills

South Korea’s small and medium companies that have equipped themselves with technical skills are going after global niche markets by attending IFA 2016, which is to be held in Berlin.

Not only are they planning to aggressively advertise their technical skills but they also fully prepared themselves to attract new customers.
YujinRobot, which is attending IFA for the second time, is introducing ‘GoCart Ver 2.0’ and ‘GoCart Mini’, which are distribution robots, this year.
GoCart is a self-driving root that supplements tasks of employees at hospitals or silver towns such as delivering meals, medicines, drugs, and linens per schedule. Not only can it deliver light-weight supplies such as medical samples, medicines, snacks, drinks, and meals but it can also deliver heavy-weight supplies such as linens and trash. GoCart moves on its own by analyzing spaces with variety of sensors and cameras and automatically avoids contact with people or obstacles.
YujinRobot attended IFA in 2014 with ‘GoCart Ver 1.0’. In this year, it introduced GoCart Ver 2.0, which is more advanced and has additional functions, and a smaller version of GoCart called GoCart Mini. 

YujinRobot had carried out demonstrations of GoCarts mostly at large silver towns that are located in South Korea, the U.S., New Zealand, and Spain.
“We are going to officially introduce newly-developed GoCart through IFA 2016.” said a representative for YujinRobot. “We are currently working to cooperate with many European partners.”
Thinkware, which is a black box manufacturer, is attending IFA for the first time this year and is introducing ‘Thinkware Dash Cam’. Thinkware is planning to exhibit total of 6 black boxes such as Thinkware Dash Cam F770, Thinkware Dash Cam X550, and Thinkware Dash Cam X330 and corresponding accessories. It is also going to introduce black boxes that are equipped with night-vision correction solution and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) function.
Thinkware is working on strengthening its competitive edge in foreign businesses and improving its brand by attending major global household exhibitions such as CES, Gadget Show, and IFA. 

Winix also attended IFA 2016 with air purifier and air washer that are its major products. In this year, it is planning to exhibit IoT air purifier and products that are recognized for their designs through design awards. Winix’s air purifiers and air washers were once awarded for Red Dot Design, IF Design, Pin-Up Design, and Japan’s Good Design Award.
“We are going to mainly exhibit IoT air purifiers at IFA 2016.” said a representative for Winix. “We are also going to actively look for new customers based on our excellent design and technical skills.”
