Samsung Electronics to Release 2016 Big-Screen and Ultra-Light ‘Notebook 9’

Samsung Electronics made an announcement on the 27th that it will introduce 2016 premium laptop ‘Notebook 9’ and start advance selling starting from the 28th.

Notebook 9, which is big-screen and ultra-light premium notebook series, had sold more than 2 million copies by July of 2015 ever since it was released in March of 2011. 2016 model is constituted of big-screen ‘900X5L’ and ultra-light ‘900X3L’.

900X5L, which has 15-inch (38.1 cm) screen and 6.2 mm ultra-slim bezel, has Samsung Electronics’ exclusive technology ‘Quick Charging’ that enables this laptop to be fully charged in 90 minutes and to be used up to 12 hours straight. Also one can use it up to 3.7 hours by charging it for 20 minutes and watch a 2-hour movie.

Models for Samsung Electronics are introducing 2016 big-screen and ultra-light premium laptop ‘Notebook 9′ at Samsung D’light Shop in Seocho-dong in Seoul.

900X3L, which weighs the lowest out of its same class at 840g, weighs 230g less than 2015 model that has same specifications. One can experience brighter and clearer screen with 400-nit display, and it has auto-backlit keyboard that controls keyboard backlight automatically and senses surrounding brightness.

Both of models have ‘Consulting Mode’ that is able to rotate 180° so that people who face each other can share a same screen.

They both use metal material and have iron silver and modern pink colors. Based on Gen. 6 Intel Core i5 Processor, 8GB Memory, and 128 GB SSD (Solid-State Drive), store prices for 900X5L and 900X3L are $1,537 (1.79 million KRW) and $1,469 (1.71 million KRW) respectively.

They will be officially released in early January of 2016. During advance selling event, Samsung Electronics is going to present Samsonite Red Backpack, Samsung Portable SSD 250GB, Samsung OTG 128GB and others depending on a model.
